Manufacturing Technician I

Responsibilities

• Cut and thread pipes using pipe cutters, cutting torches, and pipe threading machines
• Bend pipes to required angles using manual methods or pipe bending machines
• Join pipes using screws, bolts, fittings, solder, plastic solvent, and caulk joints
• Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes
• Test pipe systems with water or air and monitor pressure gauges to check for leaks

Requirements

• 1-2 years of plumbing experience preferred
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to read and understand plumbing drawings
• Proficiency with tape measures for precise measurements
• Ability to use common hand and power tools, such as drills and screw guns
• Ability to lift and move 40 lbs. regularly
• Ability to work in non-temperature-controlled environments and perform physical tasks including bending, stooping, and climbing ladders
• Successful completion of drug and background screening
