Manufacturing Technical Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor automated or semi-automated production machinery according to SOPs
• Perform equipment set-up, calibration, and changeovers
• Perform in-process quality checks to ensure product meets specifications
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and make minor mechanical adjustments or repairs
• Perform basic maintenance checks and preventative tasks to avoid unplanned downtime
• Conduct pre-operation checks and routine cleaning to maintain machine performance
• Complete production logs, downtime reports, and other documentation accurately
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to resolve complex issues
• Adhere to health and safety standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and company policies
• Support continuous improvement activities to enhance productivity and reduce waste
• Participate in daily shift handovers, team briefings, and safety meetings
• Train or mentor new operators or temporary staff on equipment functionality
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective action implementation

Requirements

• Technical or vocational training or equivalent
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to understand technical manuals
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift above 20kg
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to lean manufacturing, 5S, or Kaizen processes
