About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and support full-stack applications using Java and .NET
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver IIOT/OT and PLM software solutions
- Contribute to the implementation and sustainment of Solumina MES software, including interfaces and customizations
- Develop methods for data and system integration between Oracle ERP, MES, and smart manufacturing applications
- Participate in digital engineering and digital thread initiatives
- Perform operational support for computing and software needs across various manufacturing environments
- Explore and apply AI-enabled approaches to enhance department productivity
- Partner with cybersecurity professionals to deliver secure, compliant solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and five years of directly relevant experience
- Proficiency in full-stack software development with an emphasis on Java and .NET
- Experience developing front-end applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, or Vue.js)
- Experience with database design and development (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Computer Science or a highly related field
- Experience with DevOps practices and tooling (e.g., Git, CI/CD)
- Knowledge of IIoT integration protocols such as OPC UA or MQTT
- Experience supporting discrete or process manufacturing operations
- Familiarity with cloud/hosted infrastructure (AWS or Azure) and container platforms like Kubernetes
- Experience working in Operational Technology (OT) environments
