Manufacturing Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop manufacturing associates on the D Shift Night Team to achieve safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Direct day-to-day manufacturing activities to ensure production schedules and customer commitments are met.
• Maintain a strong presence on the production floor to support associates and address operational challenges.
• Ensure compliance with BD quality systems, GMP requirements, and regulatory standards including FDA, ISO, and OSHA.
• Drive continuous improvement activities utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles and standard work practices.
• Monitor and communicate key performance metrics regarding safety, quality, and throughput to department leadership.
• Manage staffing, overtime, and shift coverage requirements for the 12-hour rotating night shift.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant manufacturing leadership or operations experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Working knowledge of SAP.
• Strong knowledge of FDA, GMP, ISO, and OSHA regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Experience leading production teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
