Manufacturing Spray Painter

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, or priming
• Mix paints, coatings, and materials according to specifications
• Operate spray guns, booths, and related painting equipment
• Apply paint or coatings evenly to achieve high-quality finishes
• Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and consistency
• Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and paint booths
• Follow all safety protocols including use of PPE and ventilation systems
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials
• Keep accurate records of materials used and jobs completed
• Report equipment malfunctions or quality issues to supervisors

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2–5 years manufacturing experience in a non-electronics/non-food setting
• Experience using measuring equipment such as tape measures and calipers
• Basic knowledge of inspection equipment and reading technical drawings
• Basic knowledge of quality systems and tolerances
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to read, write, and speak English at an intermediate level
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Window Quality specifications
• Knowledge of Home Construction
