Manufacturing Specialist - Production Quality

Responsibilities

• Act as the Manufacturing Quality Engineer for assigned projects, products, or manufacturing areas.
• Ensure project quality requirements are implemented during manufacturing, inspection, testing, and delivery stages.
• Coordinate internal, customer, and third-party inspection activities.
• Review and manage quality records including inspection reports, Material Test Certificates (MTCs), NDE reports, and heat treatment records.
• Manage quality issues and KPIs, including Nonconformance Reports (NCR), Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ), and defect trends.
• Perform root cause investigations and implement structured problem-solving and corrective actions.
• Lead shop-floor quality improvement activities, including defect prevention and PFMEA/Control Plan follow-up.
• Utilize digital tools to manage quality data, track actions, and prepare reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Welding, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 3 to 7 years of experience in manufacturing quality, quality control, or inspection of industrial equipment.
• Working knowledge of inspection activities, NCR handling, and root cause investigation.
• Experience or working knowledge related to ASME Code products, such as pressure vessels, boilers, heat exchangers, or heavy fabrication.
• Proficiency in English for technical documentation and professional communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in heavy manufacturing industries such as power plants, boilers, or steel fabrication.
• Working knowledge of ASME, AWS, ISO 9001, and ISO 3834 standards.
• Experience with 4D/8D problem-solving methodologies and effectiveness verification.
• Familiarity with digital quality tools, QMS systems, Power BI, Tableau, or similar data analysis platforms.
• Experience with PFMEA and shop-floor process control improvement.
