Manufacturing Specialist

Responsibilities

• Support all site safety policies, procedures, and PEAK initiatives
• Ensure optimal process setup for manufacturing machinery and peripheral equipment
• Drive high efficiency in production and equipment manufacturing
• Provide guidance and leadership to Material Handlers, Set-Up Technicians, and Manufacturing Technicians
• Implement SMED methods and techniques to optimize changeovers
• Support Design of Experiments (D.O.E.) for new products and review tool designs for productivity
• Act as a backup to the Manufacturing Supervisor for vacation and weekend coverage
• Support sampling of new products, equipment, materials, and colors

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with production software systems
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 90% of a shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (occasionally up to 75 lbs) and push/pull up to 200 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Manufacturing Engineering, Plastics Technology, or a related field
• Experience with injection molding, blow molding, or similar industries
• Knowledge of Robotics Automation, Silicone, or Two-shot molding
• Experience working with MRP and MES systems
• Ability to read and interpret engineering diagrams
