About the role

Responsibilities

  • Brainstorm, trial, and implement continuous improvement projects to reduce build hours and defects
  • Work with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to develop and qualify new manufacturing techniques
  • Document manufacturing systems downtime and troubleshoot issues to improve efficiency
  • Design, build, and commission electromechanical equipment and tooling
  • Write and update process work instructions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve nonconformances and production blockers
  • Perform R&D and prototype hardware builds using precision calibrated tools

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in technical mechanical and electrical assembly
  • Strong electro-mechanical system troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as stooping, standing, or sitting for extended periods
  • Willingness to work third shift (10:00 pm - 6:30 am) and occasional nights/weekends

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in an engineering-related field or higher
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, and Six Sigma principles
  • Experience with manufacturing equipment development or electro-mechanical system design/maintenance
