Manufacturing Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software tools for manufacturing operations, including test automation and factory data systems
• Develop interfaces between manufacturing equipment, test systems, and internal software platforms
• Build and maintain systems for battery module traceability, data logging, and process monitoring
• Develop and maintain automated test software for battery modules and energy storage systems
• Write software tools to interface with battery testing equipment like cyclers, power supplies, and thermal management systems
• Integrate software with high voltage battery systems, BMS, and inverters/chargers
• Create dashboards, HMIs, and data visualizations
• Build internal tools for production tracking, yield monitoring, and quality data analysis
• Collaborate with manufacturing, electrical, and test engineers to support new product introduction (NPI)
• Troubleshoot and resolve production software issues to minimize downtime

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in software development for manufacturing, automation, or hardware-integrated systems
• Experience interfacing software with hardware systems, instrumentation, or industrial equipment
• Experience with test automation and/or manufacturing test systems
• Proficiency with Python, LabVIEW, CAN, Modbus, and SCPI

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with lithium-ion battery systems
• Experience with industrial automation or robotics
• Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
