Manufacturing Scientist I

Responsibilities

• Develop experiments and tests, including writing and executing protocols, to qualify and validate manufacturing processes.
• Analyze and resolve manufacturing and compliance risks via CAPA, non-conformances, and audit observations.
• Support production teams through hands-on training and manufacturing documentation reviews and updates.
• Design and develop new products to support the recombinant protein production pipeline using molecular biology and biochemistry methodologies.
• Implement continuous process improvement projects to ensure equipment, tools, and processes are lean and efficient.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a scientific field (Biochemistry, Immunology, or Cell Biology preferred).
• Up to 4 years of related industry experience.
• Strong biochemistry background and knowledge of molecular biology techniques.
• Proficiency in laboratory methodologies including chromatography, ELISA, electrophoresis, and western blotting.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical topics to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working in a cGMP manufacturing environment.
• Experience working in an ISO13485 environment.
• Experience with design control and driving projects through various phase-gates (feasibility, validation, verification, and development).
