About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead qualification processes for the new Samsung Taylor FAB to ensure new technologies and products meet all quality and reliability requirements for mass production
- Drive the transition from the qualification phase to mass production by validating process stability and delivering certification reports
- Establish product and tool qualification frameworks and chair review board meetings to provide technical direction
- Identify potential quality risk points using FMEA methodology and implement mitigation solutions
- Drive root cause corrective actions (RCCA/8D) for issues identified during the FAB qualification phase
- Communicate with HQ reference FABs to monitor and eliminate known quality risk points
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor processes, device physics, and failure analysis techniques
- Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies including SPC, FMEA, DOE, 8D problem-solving, and statistical analysis
- Understanding of semiconductor industry standards and customer requirements (e.g., automotive, consumer, data center)
- Working knowledge of process integration, yield, and various fab processes such as thin films deposition, lithography, etch, or diffusion
