About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide ownership of manufacturing quality issues through the Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA) process
- Perform manufacturing validation and process failure mode effects analysis (FMEA) reviews and support
- Assure compliance with in-house and external standards, including GMP, ISO 9001, and AS9100 regulations
- Represent the Quality department on business teams to support product and process improvements
- Plan, write, and implement quality and reliability requirements and procedures within the manufacturing area
- Analyze trends in finished products and in-process materials to recommend corrective actions
- Create and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the manufacturing area
- Provide technical consultation on test equipment, failure analysis, and validation activities
- Direct other departments to ensure workmanship standards and acceptance criteria are met
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in an electronic manufacturing environment
- 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a regulated environment (e.g., Aerospace, Medical Device, or Bio-Pharma)
- Proven experience leading NCR and CAPA investigations and driving file closure
- Experience with PCB and PCBA troubleshooting in collaboration with Design Engineers and Contract Manufacturers
- Strong analytical skills with an emphasis on statistical analysis and data-driven decision making
- Experience with custom metal machined parts and dimensional tolerances
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in radar technology and related quality systems
- Proficiency with electrical, mechanical, or environmental quality control testing equipment
- Demonstrated project management and leadership skills
- Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt (or Design for Six Sigma)
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) designation
