Manufacturing/Production Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead a manufacturing operations cell in the Precision Metal Fabrication value stream, managing a team of 15-20 employees during the 3rd shift.
• Plan, organize, and direct the flow of work to meet contractual quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
• Ensure a safe work environment and lead safety improvement projects.
• Execute schedule and cost management, including workforce planning and forecasting.
• Manage employee hiring, training, and time and attendance tracking.
• Oversee area layout, flow management, and control of overhead expenses.
• Collaborate daily with manufacturing engineering, maintenance, production control, finance, and program management.
• Implement continuous improvement opportunities using Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.

Requirements

• University degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or 3 years with an advanced degree.
• Proven supervisory, leadership, or manufacturing experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Confidential security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supervising bargaining unit employees in a machine/assembly shop within the aerospace or defense industry.
• Proven track record of implementing Lean or Six Sigma projects.
• Experience leading team-based manufacturing environments with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access) and/or SAP.
