Manufacturing Production Operator

Responsibilities

• Prepare optical cables by heat stripping, cleaving, and inspecting fiber
• Attach optical cables to connectors and perform necessary measurements and alignment
• Conduct required testing and inspections on assemblies to ensure quality
• Read and comprehend work instructions, blueprints, and specifications to build orders
• Maintain in-process workflow within a lean manufacturing environment
• Utilize specialized equipment and tooling correctly throughout the assembly process
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and suggest improvements for processes or tooling

Requirements

• One year of production or manufacturing experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to use a microscope for extended periods
• Steady hands and excellent hand-eye coordination
• Ability to sit or stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes
• Willingness to adhere to all department safety rules and wear required protective gear
