Manufacturing Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support daily manufacturing operations by troubleshooting issues and implementing sustainable process improvements
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen events, cost reduction activities, and strategic plant projects
• Develop, optimize, and document manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, and efficiency
• Create and maintain engineering documentation such as Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEAs, Standard Work, and Work Instructions
• Implement and improve machining, assembly, and automation processes using data-driven analysis
• Support new equipment launches, including specification, procurement, installation, and validation
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production, maintenance, quality, and leadership teams
• Utilize problem-solving methodologies like 8D, 5 Whys, and root cause analysis to address concerns
• Apply Lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and optimize plant layout

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
• 3–5 years of hands-on manufacturing experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience with structured methodologies (8D, 5 Whys, RCA)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a Tier 1 automotive supplier environment
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
• Familiarity with Industry 4.0 tools, including data collection and automation systems
• Experience supporting equipment launches and capital projects
