About the role
Responsibilities
- Support daily manufacturing operations by troubleshooting issues and implementing sustainable process improvements
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen events, cost reduction activities, and strategic plant projects
- Develop, optimize, and document manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, and efficiency
- Create and maintain engineering documentation such as Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEAs, Standard Work, and Work Instructions
- Implement and improve machining, assembly, and automation processes using data-driven analysis
- Support new equipment launches, including specification, procurement, installation, and validation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, maintenance, quality, and leadership teams
- Utilize problem-solving methodologies like 8D, 5 Whys, and root cause analysis to address concerns
- Apply Lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and optimize plant layout
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- 3–5 years of hands-on manufacturing experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience with structured methodologies (8D, 5 Whys, RCA)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a Tier 1 automotive supplier environment
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 tools, including data collection and automation systems
- Experience supporting equipment launches and capital projects
