About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site manufacturing and process engineering support to assigned process units.
- Implement long-term plant improvements and address day-to-day operating issues.
- Lead day-to-day plant operations by applying process engineering fundamentals and analytical skills.
- Identify and pursue improvement initiatives focused on process safety, quality, reliability, and capacity.
- Participate in HAZOPs, incident investigations, and risk assessment activities.
- Monitor unit performance metrics and identify gaps versus performance benchmarks.
- Support the planning and execution of major plant events, including turnarounds, trials, and start-ups/shutdowns.
- Mentor and coach early-career professionals and engineers.
Requirements
- Proven process engineering skills and deep manufacturing knowledge.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to transition from an individual contributor to a technical leader.
- Advanced analytical and systematic problem-solving techniques.
- Experience in risk management and conducting technical investigations.
- Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with cross-functional partners and technical specialists.
