About the role
Responsibilities
- Implement continuous improvements on existing equipment to improve reliability, yield, uptime, and efficiency
- Validate automated manufacturing equipment, ancillary equipment, facilities, and utilities
- Draft and approve validation protocols for IQ/OQ/PQ/PV activities and execute validation tests
- Execute engineering studies, test methods, and investigations as part of CAPA and Non-Conformance actions
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues in collaboration with suppliers and quality assurance
- Manage equipment change control and execute required validation activities to implement changes
- Monitor production to identify areas of improvement and proactively address potential issues
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
- 4 years of work experience in a high-volume, multi-product manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Experience in the medical device industry
- Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
- Experience executing validations on automated equipment and systems
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatic systems, PLCs, or vision systems
- Experience with SCADA systems, automation concepts, or preventative maintenance programs
- Six Sigma training or certification
