Apex manufactures satellite buses at scale using a combination of software, vertical integration, and hardware designed for manufacturing. The company is on a mission to provide humankind access to the galaxy beyond our planet.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with manufacturing engineers to document validated processes into clear, standardized work instructions and process plans
  • Own and maintain the documentation library for manufacturing processes, ensuring they are current and revision-controlled
  • Develop standardized templates for work instructions, process plans, and NCR write-ups
  • Maintain the cleanliness and accuracy of the manufacturing execution system (MES)
  • Write how-to guides and training materials for process plan writing and MES usage
  • Manage the organization and maintenance of the manufacturing Confluence space
  • Support NPI campaigns by capturing lessons learned and contributing to an evolving NPI guide
  • Identify gaps and opportunities for standardization across documentation systems

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in technical writing, configuration management, or documentation in a manufacturing/engineering environment
  • Strong technical literacy with ability to read engineering drawings and process documentation
  • Ability to produce clear, unambiguous written documentation for non-expert readers
  • Experience working with MES, ERP, or PLM systems in a production environment
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to operate in a fast-moving environment where processes are still being developed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability manufacturing
  • Familiarity with AS9100 documentation and configuration control
  • Experience with Confluence, SharePoint, or similar knowledge management platforms
  • Background in configuration management or change control processes
  • Experience supporting NPI or production ramp programs
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing environments
