About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain the paint production process, including robots, booths, and water treatment processes
- Control paint operation and equipment, ensuring adherence to quality and conformity standards
- Perform level 1 maintenance procedures for robots and paint equipment such as guns and jigs
- Start and stop the paint line according to the production plan and safety rules
- Contribute to root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for defects
- Optimize paint consumption of primers, basecoats, clear coats, and solvents
- Follow all HSE requirements, including LOTO and grounding, to promote a safety mindset
- Work within a 3-shift environment and participate in on-call duties
Requirements
- Technician certification in mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, or pneumatics
- 2-3 years of experience in painted parts production
- Knowledge of robotics and paint application processes
- Proficiency in structured problem-solving processes (e.g., POMS A3)
- Strong computer skills
- High School Diploma
- Ability to work in a 3-shift rotation and handle on-call responsibilities
