Manufacturing Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage human, material, mechanical, and technical production resources to meet SQDCE objectives (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Operational Excellence).
• Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene conditions to eliminate workplace risks and occupational health hazards.
• Oversee production programs and performance indicators in coordination with support departments.
• Monitor efficiency forecasts, direct material spoilage, and indirect spending (MRO).
• Minimize cost of sales variations, including efficiency, material, and waste variations.
• Implement and manage continuous improvement processes based on Lean Manufacturing and 5S methodologies.
• Manage the startup of new production lines or projects requested by sales or planning departments.
• Participate in budget preparation and monitor departmental expenses against the budget.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Titulado); a Master's degree is preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of experience as a Production Manager or Superintendent within the metalworking industry.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Strong knowledge of production control, manufacturing processes, and Lean Manufacturing (Toyota Production System).
• Experience with budgeting, administrative processes, and Cost of Sales.
• Proven problem-solving skills and continuous improvement expertise.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
