Manufacturing Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and optimize all manufacturing operations at the South Windsor facility
• Own plant performance across safety, food safety, quality, yield, labor efficiency, and cost control
• Drive a culture of zero incidents and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
• Maintain full ownership of HACCP execution and adherence to USDA, FSIS, and SQF requirements
• Deliver against plant targets for Yield %, OEE, and Throughput
• Implement labor planning to align with production demand and reduce unnecessary overtime
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using RCA, Gemba, and standard work
• Develop Superintendents and Supervisors into high-performing leaders

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in food manufacturing or protein processing
• Experience with high speed packaging systems
• Demonstrated expertise in managing yield, throughput, labor, and cost control
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, USDA/FSIS regulations, and SQF standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work in cold, wet, humid, and noisy production environments
• High School diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations, or Food Science preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish and/or Portuguese
• Experience presenting information to clients and customers
