Manufacturing Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing work activities and resources to meet cost, quality, and quantity specifications.
• Oversee daily workflows, schedules, and assignments for the manufacturing team to ensure inter-departmental cooperation.
• Analyze and review budgets, prepare annual plans, and ensure departmental adherence to financial targets.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement efficient production processes to enhance quality and capacity.
• Set, measure, and report on KPIs related to manufacturing performance, yield, labor/material costs, and safety compliance.
• Manage human resources within the department, including recruiting, training, supervising, and appraising staff.
• Resolve production bottlenecks and collaborate with suppliers, logistics, and design teams to ensure smooth production cycles.
• Monitor inventory levels and implement preventative maintenance and quality control programs.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and lean manufacturing principles.
• Proven ability to lead and manage diverse teams with excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically Excel, and experience with ERP systems.
• Strong project and logistics management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and make data-driven decisions.
• Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends or holidays if necessary.
