Manufacturing Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Direct the manufacture of prescription eyewear in a high-volume, mixed-model environment
• Lead supervisors and production teams to achieve daily performance, productivity, and quality goals
• Determine staffing requirements, including hiring and training new personnel
• Develop staff to maximize potential and set clear employee goals and objectives
• Evaluate business processes and implement procedures for continuous operational improvement
• Coordinate financial and budget activities to ensure maximum operational efficiency
• Formulate department policies and maintain controls to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 6+ years of experience in a related manufacturing or operations field
• Strong knowledge of business, management, and strategic planning principles
• Proficiency in human resource management principles and procedures
• Understanding of basic economic and accounting principles
• Proficiency in relevant software applications
• Excellent oral and written communication, planning, and organizational skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing setting
