Manufacturing Mold Setter

Responsibilities

• Assist to set scheduled molds in presses for production and sample orders
• Connect water lines to molds to ensure proper cooling
• Set switches, safety bars, and mold protection on presses
• Spray molds with protection spray and remove from presses safely
• Clean up excess equipment and supplies
• Hang molds in press using extreme caution
• Clamp molds between platens using proper equipment
• Manage cost control for hoses, clamps, bolts, and mold supplies
• Maintain housekeeping and organization of the mold supply cage
• Size and cut knock out bars
• Connect water and air lines according to specifications
• Comply with Company EHS policies and procedures

Requirements

• Mold Setting experience
• Processing and Setting Molds experience
• Machine Operator experience
• Mechanical ability
• Ability to read and understand product and equipment labels
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continually
• Ability to move in and out of presses, climb ladders, and torque bolts to 425 ft. lb
• General knowledge of mold design and cooling systems
• Knowledge of molding press control operations
• Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Maintenance experience
