About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safety-first culture within the plant
- Improve efficiencies in quality control and on-time shipments
- Oversee production organization to ensure worker safety and cost control
- Manage operating and capital budgets (P&L)
- Lead teams in production, supply chain, and facility maintenance
- Improve plant profitability and develop quality and safety initiatives
- Drive cost reduction through Lean Manufacturing practices and plant layout
Requirements
- At least seven years of experience in production management
- Experience in an equipment or machinery company
- Experience managing skilled assembly and fabrication workers
- Proficiency with plant budgets and managing production levels
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Excellent safety record
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
- Familiarity with MIG welding
- Experience with structural steel, automotive, or materials handling systems
