Manufacturing Manager II, Avionics

Responsibilities

• Define and own multi-year manufacturing strategy for avionics
• Develop capacity models, headcount architecture, and tooling/test infrastructure roadmaps
• Lead major transformation initiatives including scaling, automation, and ERP/MES evolution
• Own daily, weekly, and monthly avionics production performance across safety, quality, delivery, and cost
• Manage workmanship standards for soldering, harness build, ESD/FOD control, and test readiness
• Partner with Quality Engineering to reduce defects and improve first-pass yield
• Lead manufacturing readiness for new avionics products and manage production handoff from engineering
• Lead and develop supervisors, leads, and frontline technicians

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 8–12+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
• 5+ years of experience managing managers or multiple teams
• Proven track record scaling or transforming avionics production
• Demonstrated ability to execute manufacturing strategy and capacity planning
• Experience working with executive-level leadership (Directors, VPs, C-level)
• Experience managing budgets, risk, and ROI decisions

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree (MBA, Engineering, or Systems)
