About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery, including CNC, mills, lathes, engines, and motors
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, HVAC, and plumbing systems
  • Respond quickly to machine repair requests and adjustments to minimize downtime
  • Manage maintenance inventory by checking stock levels and placing orders for necessary parts and supplies
  • Document all repairs, parts usage, and material consumption at the end of each shift
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with EPA and OSHA standards
  • Identify potential health and safety hazards and implement appropriate control measures
  • Support general facility maintenance including painting and basic plumbing

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience troubleshooting and maintaining manufacturing equipment
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, HVAC, and plumbing systems
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Windows

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of a trades curriculum at a recognized technical school
  • Experience with manual and power-driven tools and machine shop equipment
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
