Manufacturing Lead

Responsibilities

• Oversee press operations, including setting up tonnage, cure time, temperature, and speed control
• Manage production documentation, labor tickets, and production records to ensure accuracy
• Inspect parts for flaws and troubleshoot molding issues for rejected parts
• Supervise and assist employees, including facilitating training for press operators
• Assign presses and manage material movement from staging areas to the press line
• Communicate production and press-related information to shift supervisors and support departments
• Apply LEAN concepts such as TAKT, time, and capacity measures to optimize workflow
• Approve employee time in Mercury (Kronos) and fill in for supervisors when necessary

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of related manufacturing experience
• Experience in a production environment in a supervisory or lead role
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to convert weights and measures
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for prolonged periods
• Ability to work in a hot manufacturing environment
