Manufacturing Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate fermentors, centrifuges, concentrators, and various filtration equipment
• Perform routine in-process testing using instruments such as pH meters, spectrophotometers, and microscopes
• Prepare and sterilize media components and ancillary equipment using autoclaves
• Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with cGMP principles
• Perform routine cleaning and disinfection of manufacturing space and equipment
• Conduct material handling using hand and powered moving equipment
• Perform minor maintenance on fermentation and downstream processing equipment
• Comply with all safety SOPs, including PPE and biohazard training

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal directions
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and metric conversions
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work 2nd shift (Tuesday - Saturday, 2:00pm – 10:30pm)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences or related field
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Prior experience in a biological manufacturing setting
• Proficiency in aseptic technique
• Technical understanding of fermentor and downstream processing equipment
