About the Company

Vast is developing next-generation space stations to ensure a continuous human presence in space for America and its allies, enabling advanced microgravity research and manufacturing. Using an incremental, hardware-rich and low-cost approach, Vast is rapidly developing its multi-module Haven Station.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 12-week internship program with hands-on opportunities to design and build space hardware
• Solve challenging real-world engineering problems under the mentorship of industry experts
• Focus on specific engineering disciplines such as Tooling

Requirements

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree program in manufacturing, mechanical, or aerospace engineering
• Ability to work full-time onsite in Long Beach, CA

Preferred Qualifications

• Application of technical skills through extracurricular projects, research, or prior internships
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or CATIA
• Strong engineering problem solving capabilities
• Working knowledge of analysis tools and engineering equipment
• Ability to collaborate across different teams
