About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead a group of skilled hourly workers to troubleshoot and repair complex manufacturing equipment and processes
  • Analyze and respond to the manufacturing daily plan, making necessary operational adjustments
  • Manage multiple tasks and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Drive accountability through people and processes, including conducting difficult conversations and addressing performance concerns
  • Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose equipment malfunctions
  • Implement divisional and corporate policies, safety protocols, and good housekeeping practices
  • Supervise the efficient use of labor, inventory, and machinery

Requirements

  • One year of direct team supervisory experience (or 5 months as an internal GM per diem group leader)
  • Experience reading and understanding electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic blueprints
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal, conflict management, and decision-making skills
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and email
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and regular weekends (approximately two weekends per month)
  • Ability to work in a loud manufacturing environment and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 40 lbs and standing for prolonged periods

Preferred Qualifications

  • Journeyperson status or a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience collaborating across multiple functions within a manufacturing setting
