Manufacturing Equipment Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of manufacturing equipment systems for humanoid robot production, including actuator and battery assembly systems
• Define equipment architecture to support scalable manufacturing and future automation
• Own equipment programs from concept through installation, including RFQ packages and supplier management
• Install, commission, and validate production equipment on the factory floor
• Support pilot builds, production ramps, and debug equipment issues during launch
• Continuously improve equipment reliability, uptime, throughput, and cycle time

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience developing manufacturing equipment or production systems
• Strong mechanical engineering foundation with hands-on experience in mechanical design and analysis
• Strong background in industrial automation or assembly equipment
• Experience commissioning equipment in a production environment
• Ability to solve equipment issues quickly in fast-moving environments
• Willingness to work hands-on on the factory floor

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in robotics manufacturing
• Experience in EV manufacturing
• Experience in aerospace production systems
• Experience with automated assembly equipment or factory launches
