About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead process development and validation for HVAC manufacturing lines, including brazing, assembly, leak testing, and electrical integration.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC).
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities through process design, PFMEA, control plans, and tooling requirements.
- Analyze and optimize manufacturing cycle times, labor efficiency, and line balancing.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve productivity and consistency.
- Provide technical troubleshooting for complex HVAC system issues such as refrigeration performance and airflow optimization.
- Collaborate with Design Engineering to ensure manufacturability (DFM/DFA) of new products.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions for process deviations.
- Support capital expenditure projects, including equipment specification and commissioning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- 5–8+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
- Proven expertise in HVAC or refrigeration systems manufacturing.
- Deep understanding of refrigeration cycles, thermodynamics, and heat exchangers.
- Proficiency in PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and Lean Manufacturing.
- Experience with Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt preferred).
- Proficiency in CAD systems and manufacturing documentation tools.
