About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage the operational safety, availability, and reliability of plant physical assets through the development and implementation of reliability and asset integrity strategies.
- Oversee the development and management of reliability-based maintenance and inspection programs, including RCM, RBI, and FMEA.
- Lead technical analysis of chronic equipment failures (bad actors) using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and establish corrective action plans.
- Review and approve inspection plans for pressure vessels, tanks, and piping systems to reduce the risk of loss of containment.
- Drive the use of proactive maintenance techniques, such as predictive and preventive maintenance, to optimize reliability and cost.
- Manage the Reliability & Asset Integrity team, including budget allocation, personnel management, and training requirements.
- Monitor performance indicators such as MTBF, MTTR, Availability, and Risk of Failure.
- Identify equipment for replacement as part of the CAPEX program and participate in risk analyses for investment projects.
- Ensure compliance with site management systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001) and regulatory requirements (API, ASME, NFPA).
Requirements
- Engineering degree in Mechanical, Integrity, Reliability, or a related field.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or asset integrity within the chemical or petrochemical industry.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards including API, ASME, NFPA, ISO 55000, ASTM, and ISO 4406.
- Proven experience with RCM, FMEA, and RCA methodologies.
- Proficiency in SAP PM, Power BI, and advanced Excel.
- Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques, including vibration analysis, thermography, and ultrasound.
- English proficiency at a B1 level.
Preferred Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree or professional certification in Reliability (CMRP, CRL) or Asset Management (IAM).
