About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing, industrial, and process engineering initiatives across fabrication, weld, paint, assembly, and shipping operations
- Drive improvements in on-time delivery, throughput, lead-time, and operational flow within a high-mix, low-volume environment
- Execute bottleneck analysis, capacity optimization, labor balancing, and setup reduction
- Develop and sustain manufacturing systems including routings, BOM accuracy, labor standards, and ERP data integrity
- Implement Daily Management Systems (DMS), SQDCP metrics, and structured problem-solving routines
- Lead capital expenditure projects, automation initiatives, and facility optimization projects
- Champion safety through risk reduction, ergonomic improvements, and proactive hazard identification
- Coach and develop engineering and technical teams to build frontline capability and accountability
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- 5+ years of manufacturing engineering, operations, or industrial engineering leadership experience
- Strong expertise in Lean manufacturing systems and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience in metal fabrication, welding, powder coating, or assembly operations
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organizational change
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, PMP, or Lean certification
- Experience in high-mix/low-volume or made-to-order manufacturing environments
- Demonstrated experience leading operational transformation and manufacturing system stabilization
