About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing, industrial, and process engineering initiatives across fabrication, weld, paint, assembly, and shipping operations
  • Drive improvements in on-time delivery, throughput, lead-time, and operational flow within a high-mix, low-volume environment
  • Execute bottleneck analysis, capacity optimization, labor balancing, and setup reduction
  • Develop and sustain manufacturing systems including routings, BOM accuracy, labor standards, and ERP data integrity
  • Implement Daily Management Systems (DMS), SQDCP metrics, and structured problem-solving routines
  • Lead capital expenditure projects, automation initiatives, and facility optimization projects
  • Champion safety through risk reduction, ergonomic improvements, and proactive hazard identification
  • Coach and develop engineering and technical teams to build frontline capability and accountability

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering, operations, or industrial engineering leadership experience
  • Strong expertise in Lean manufacturing systems and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience with metal fabrication, welding, powder coating, or assembly operations
  • Proficiency in capacity analysis, labor standards, and ERP manufacturing systems
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organizational change

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, PMP, or Lean certification
  • Experience in high-mix/low-volume or made-to-order manufacturing environments
  • Demonstrated experience leading operational transformation and manufacturing system stabilization
