About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of engineers in day-to-day activities to meet site and company objectives
- Manage process engineering support to resolve manufacturing problems and ensure on-time product shipment
- Drive continuous improvement (CI) initiatives using Lean manufacturing to identify cost savings and technical process improvements
- Lead cross-functional and multi-site teams to achieve strategic project goals and new product development
- Execute project management tools and techniques to ensure new projects are fully vetted before release to operations
- Develop and manage plans to improve manufacturing efficiencies, increase yields, and monitor progress via KPIs
- Support the site capital plan and manage expenses related to new and replacement equipment
- Collaborate with the Commercial Team to develop technology roadmaps for best-in-class facilities and equipment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field
- 8+ years of experience in the medical device industry or another heavily-regulated industry
- 5+ years of leadership or management experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Project and advanced problem-solving techniques
- Proven ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of silicone tooling, processing, and equipment
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
