About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of manufacturing engineers.
- Oversee assembly line operations for the Air-Cooled Value Stream, ensuring equipment reliability and process efficiency.
- Drive productivity improvement projects to reduce cycle times, waste, and costs while improving quality and throughput.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and Operational Excellence methodologies to optimize processes.
- Act as a technical expert during unplanned plant events, driving the implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
- Manage engineering budgets, resources, and timelines to deliver projects on schedule and within scope.
- Oversee the programming, upgrades, and troubleshooting of PLCs, HMIs, and MES systems.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or facilities maintenance.
- 1+ year of supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Allen-Bradley Control Logix 5000, Siemens S7 PLCs, and VFD motor controls.
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic controls.
- Strong background in applying Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change and foster positive relationships with production employees and management.
