Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate engineering activities for Axle Drive Unit Product Lines to reduce non-productive downtime.
• Implement effective procedures and policies utilizing TS16949 and other quality standards to ensure equipment is in acceptable working condition.
• Support supervisors in coordinating vendors and contractors for the installation of new equipment, components, or processes.
• Assist in cost center budget planning regarding manufacturing expenses and capital equipment investment.
• Utilize PFMEA and new technologies to drive the continuous development of assembly equipment and processes.
• Troubleshoot technical problems impacting assembly safety and productivity.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles (ZFPS, VA/VE) to reduce costs and non-value added activities.
• Analyze efficiency levels and facilitate the introduction of new designs to improve OEE.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering.
• 2–4+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering (internships and co-ops included).
• Experience applying lean manufacturing methods, 8D problem solving methodology, and Design of Experiments (DoE).
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills.
