About the role
Responsibilities
- Work within a lean manufacturing cell to implement new gas turbine engine component part designs
- Develop process improvements for existing component designs
- Create estimated process plans and manufacturing process plans
- Develop part detail designs (blueprints) and perform process development
- Handle NC programming and tool design
- Collaborate with layout specialists to optimize manufacturing workflows
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical, Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or a similar technical discipline
- 0-5 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Strong CAD skills
- Ability to read and interpret part drawings
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- One to two years of summer intern or co-op experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Experience with materials and processing involving aerospace metals
- Proficiency with UG NX CAD software
