Responsibilities

• Specify, source and implement key production equipment, tooling, automated machinery, and robotics
• Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs
• Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements and researching testing methods
• Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout
• Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods
• Identify opportunities for automation within assembly, test, and material-handling processes
• Develop, program, and implement automation systems (PLC-, PC-, or microcontroller-based)
• Lead in the "Design For Manufacturing" and continuous improvement process
• Support product development activities

Requirements

• Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering degree or related field
• 1-5+ years of related experience
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
• Experience with industrial automation tools (PLCs, HMIs, sensors, motion systems)
• Experience designing tooling, jigs, or fixtures using SolidWorks
• Experience optimizing production processes
• Experience integrating robotics or automated test equipment
• Ability to safely lift and move objects up to 50 lbs
• Proficiency in English
