Manufacturing Engineer, Tool & Die Machining

Responsibilities

• Develop in-house machining capability for the tool and die team
• Produce high-quality precision piece parts for internal tooling
• Analyze parts and assemblies for design for manufacturability
• Coordinate with design engineering, production, machinists, technicians, and quality teams
• Implement machining process controls for lights-out operation
• Identify, procure, install, maintain, and calibrate machine shop equipment
• Drive cost optimization and reduction initiatives
• Manage engineering capacity, schedules, and project plans
• Research new materials, manufacturing technologies, and finishing options
• Estimate prototype and production manufacturing costs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, materials, or related engineering field
• 3+ years of CNC machining experience
• Strong 3D CAD skills
• Experience with Siemens NX
• Experience transitioning products from design to manufacturing
• Knowledge of injection molding, CNC, die casting, stamping, assembly, and box build
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand or walk for long periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in engineering
• Advanced surfacing and large assembly CAD experience
• Cross-functional high-volume manufacturing experience
