About the role

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and enhance design concepts to ensure producible product definitions by integrating Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) requirements.
  • Implement technical solutions, including the development of manufacturing processes, tooling, assembly fixtures, and procedures.
  • Lead supplier engagement by evaluating Boeing engineering requirements and ensuring repeatable manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication between design engineers, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment on requirements.
  • Implement Lean production methodologies and perform Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) analyses to resolve engineering concerns.
  • Monitor and assess supplier performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, or mathematics.
  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Extensive experience with Boeing engineering requirements and processes.
  • Proven experience working with suppliers and component manufacturing.
  • Ability to work on-site 5 days per week in Long Beach, CA, Seal Beach, CA, or Dallas, TX.
  • Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams and present findings to senior and executive leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment or Production Configuration Management.
  • Experience implementing or defining new manufacturing processes in a production setting.
  • Proficiency with industry software such as PDM, CAPP, REDARS-EID, IVT, WIRS, EWITS, BWS-CM, CDS, EWIRE, E-PLAN, VELOCITY, or ENOVIA.
