About the role
Responsibilities
- Evaluate customer-selected options and configurations for technical and manufacturing feasibility
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create impact assessments and mitigation plans to reduce factory disruptions
- Lead manufacturability assessment workshops for complex commodities to ensure designs meet installation requirements
- Develop and implement sequenced installation processes for new designs and out-of-sequence work
- Deliver status reports on parts, production paperwork, tooling, and engineering releases
- Coordinate with Operations to communicate upcoming changes and ensure factory readiness
- Support and track engineering changes related to installation and certification
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on ergonomics, assembly efficiency, and product quality
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Configuration Development & Management (Option to Engineering to IP, LOPAs)
- Experience with Change Management (MCs, BDCs, RRs, 95000s, Removal/Rework IRMs)
- Familiarity with Interiors and Systems (Wiring & Electrical, Software, Production Test, Paint)
- Knowledge of Procurement Types (SFE, SPE, BFE) and their impact on Production/ME
- Experience with the Coded Introduction Process
