About the role
Responsibilities
- Partner with production and quality teams to drive improvements in efficiency, quality, and cost
- Champion Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance workflow, process design, and productivity
- Define and control production processes, including documentation, tooling, and equipment specifications
- Design and maintain product specifications, ensuring accurate BOMs and routing in the ERP system
- Analyze test and production data to identify trends and recommend process optimizations
- Lead quality and productivity initiatives using tools such as FMEA, DOE, and statistical analysis
- Support capital improvement projects and automation initiatives from concept through implementation
- Establish and maintain testing criteria to ensure compliance with ISO 9000 and industry standards
- Manage multiple technical projects simultaneously, delivering on time and within scope
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering
- Strong understanding of process optimization, equipment specification, and automation
- Familiarity with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage technical projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in plastics manufacturing
- Proficiency with Application Engineering, Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Design of Experiments (DOE)
- Experience with Statistical Analysis
