Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute the build and integration of Neutron and associated flight hardware
• Develop con-ops, design, and drive build of ground support tooling and processes
• Develop build methods to increase throughput and reduce errors
• Support integration engineers with 1st and 2nd stage vehicle integration, fluid systems, avionics, and AFTS
• Develop and refine inspection, repair, assembly, and system test procedures
• Create clear work instructions for engineering and technicians
• Design and develop tools and hardware to enable vehicle processing
• Maintain integrated planning documents and documentation of non-conformances

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in industrial, mechanical, or aerospace engineering (or related)
• Experience building and testing hardware associated with space launch or aerospace/defense
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and producing prints
• Ability to work with large assemblies
• For Level II: 2+ years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to interface with mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems
• Experience developing comprehensive work instructions and test procedures
• Experience with avionics, high pressure gas, structures, or electrical subsystems
• Experience working on complex assemblies at system and sub-system levels
• Experience in fast-paced environments
