About the role
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute the build and integration of Neutron and associated flight hardware
- Develop con-ops, design, and drive build of ground support tooling and processes
- Develop build methods to increase throughput and reduce errors
- Support integration engineers with 1st and 2nd stage vehicle integration, fluid systems, avionics, and AFTS
- Develop and refine inspection, repair, assembly, and system test procedures
- Create clear work instructions for engineering and technicians
- Design and develop tools and hardware to enable vehicle processing
- Maintain integrated planning documents and documentation of non-conformances
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in industrial, mechanical, or aerospace engineering (or related)
- Experience building and testing hardware associated with space launch or aerospace/defense
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and producing prints
- Ability to work with large assemblies
- For Level II: 2+ years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to interface with mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems
- Experience developing comprehensive work instructions and test procedures
- Experience with avionics, high pressure gas, structures, or electrical subsystems
- Experience working on complex assemblies at system and sub-system levels
- Experience in fast-paced environments
