Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain multi-level Bills of Materials (BOMs) for electro-mechanical and opto-mechanical assemblies
• Create and release manufacturing assembly procedures, work instructions, and test procedures
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from prototype through production ramp
• Contribute to design for manufacturing/assembly (DFM/DFA) reviews
• Lead technology transfer activities to contract manufacturing (CM) partners
• Manage engineering change orders (ECOs) and documentation release processes
• Coordinate builds at external manufacturing sites

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience with electro-mechanical or opto-mechanical products
• Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and transitioning products to production
• Proven experience creating and maintaining structured Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Familiarity with PLM, ERP, and document management systems
• Strong understanding of configuration management and document control

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with optical alignment or precision instrumentation
• Experience supporting low-volume/high-complexity manufacturing environments
• Experience with CM management in domestic or international environments
