Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and streamline production processes to drive optimum output while maintaining quality and safety standards
• Lead capital projects including equipment selection, ROI justification, procurement, installation, and commissioning
• Identify root causes of performance gaps such as speed, downtime, and manning to eliminate production barriers
• Execute continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma tools to reduce waste and lower costs
• Analyze production data including OEE, yield, and cycle time to drive data-based decision making
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to ensure regulatory compliance
• Partner with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and R&D to improve equipment reliability and support new product introduction

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
• Ability to troubleshoot electromechanical equipment and implement corrective actions
• Knowledge of manufacturing metrics such as takt time, cycle time, efficiency, and yield
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and P&IDs
• Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a cGMP manufacturing facility
• Experience writing or improving SOPs and detailed work instructions
• Proven application of Six Sigma, Kaizen, 8 wastes, or 5S methodologies
• Experience with AutoCAD and managing project schedules
