Responsibilities

  • Optimize manufacturing processes and workflow to boost efficiency, quality, reliability, and throughput
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing tools
  • Build a process foundation that supports new product launches from concept through production
  • Analyze data to uncover opportunities for cost savings, process reliability, and quality improvements
  • Develop clear work instructions and process documentation and train affected personnel
  • Partner with engineers to ensure manufacturability is built in from earliest concept stages
  • Recommend, specify, and implement new equipment and tooling
  • Solve production challenges with creative engineering solutions
  • Drive safety, quality, and environmental responsibility across operations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent background
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience
  • Experience with SPC for process control
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems
  • Knowledge of GD&T
  • Familiarity with automotive manufacturing and quality system tools (PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA/GR&R, TPM)
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Proficiency in Statistical Analysis Software (MiniTab or JMP)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification
