Manufacturing Engineer

Neuralink is creating devices that enable a bi-directional interface with the brain to restore movement to the paralyzed, restore sight to the blind, and revolutionize human-digital interaction.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes and hardware from the ground up
• Create detailed 3D CAD and 2D drawings with a focus on DFX
• Perform rapid prototyping and source expanded manufacturing capabilities
• Develop and execute test plans and electro-mechanical test systems
• Identify and resolve manufacturing rate limiters and yield issues
• Design tooling and equipment including poka-yoke and controls
• Implement compliance with federal regulations such as GxP and 21 CFR
• Maintain design and manufacturing documentation for regulatory submission

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 3+ years of mechanical engineering industry experience
• Strong grasp of engineering first principles
• Experience with DFX, conventional machining, and rapid prototyping
• Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the design and manufacturing of implantable electromechanical medical devices
• Knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 10993, and 21 CFR standards
• Experience scaling complex low to mid-volume production lines
